Reblochon is a semi-hard pressed cheese made from the Alps region of Haute-Savoie which has been granted the AOC title.
It is made with Cow’s milk and has a Nutty buttery taste. Characterized by its light, fresh, delicate milky, crème fraiche acidity and a supple, slouchy paste. Reblochon has a yellow to orange rind with an ivory body inside.
Its rind is edible. Reblochon cheese is washed briefly with a whey solution before being left to grow a light dusting of white mould. It works with a Pinot Grigio and can pair equally well with lighter red wines.
The Reblochon is great for cooking or on a cheeseboard. Our recommendation? Try it with Butter Wholemeal Crackers, Hawkshead Chillililli and Lime and Chilli Fruit Puree.
