One of the oldest French fromages, originally made by monks, this cheese is similar in avour to Camembert with notes of mushroom and a pleasing fruitiness.
Under its yellow rind encloses a creamy blond paste made by cow’s milk.
Pont-L’Eveque, has a characteristic but not strong taste on the palate and its smell is quite decided, but its aroma is sweeter than its smell and we recommend pairing it with a good red wine.
Pont-L’Eveque, is great for sandwiches, cooking or on a cheeseboard. Our recommendation? Try it with Butter Wholemeal Crackers or Peters yard sourdough crispbread.
